Well, I grew up in the small but big town of Danville, California and haven’t left. Haha. I have phenomenal parents who have always been very supportive and have always let me live my own life instead of what they imagined for me. I actually had no idea what wake surfing was until a few years ago when I met my current boyfriend, Sean Cummings. He introduced me to the sport. At first, I was content just driving the boat while he surfed and then last year, I actually decided to try it out! It is such a fun sport! I learned last year in March and went on to competing last year as well. I took home 5 podium spots and I cannot be more thrilled!!! I am so grateful to have been introduced to wake surfing and extremely grateful Sean and I are able to share this passion. This year I am training more and looking forward to more competitions!

Looks like you have been pretty busy lately, what events have you been competing in?
I’m working my way to being crowned the Women’s Amateur Skim Division champion, by attending multiple events last season including; a 3rd place finish at the Arizona Wake Surf Open, 2nd at the West Coast Open, 2nd at the Koocanusa Wake Surf Challenge, 2nd at the Mexico Wake Surf Championship, 1st at the Florida Wake Surf Challenge, and finished 5th at the World Championships.

What has been your favorite boarding event you have competed in?
I have to say the World Wake Surf Championship in Las Vegas has been my favorite. All the events that I have gone to have been really great but the Worlds event was the best. It’s great to see so many people from all over the world come and support each other! I believe the best thing about wake surfing is the community of people that are involved with the sport. Everyone is really supportive of each other and just want to help the sport grow.

So what else do you do besides board all day?
Well, besides work, I spend a bunch of my time with my puppy, Bailey. She’s awesome and we get along really good.. haha. I like to stay pretty active so if I’m not working, you can usually find me on my Indo Board, skateboarding, or hanging out with friends.
